" Far Side of the Moon"

He said "I've got a secret!"

She can see all of the sparks

He left the door cracked open

Just enough so she could see inside his heart

He staked his claim out in the West

She came to live down South

They both practice gentle customs

And understand a long lost art

He pursues what he desires

And longs to tell her how he feels

He sees her deep and tender soul

And wants her because she is real.

Sometimes he thinks she doesn't see him

For who he thinks he is

His address was the house of "smoke and mirrors"

He learned how to keep his heart well hid.

"Just suppose she has me so high up on some lofty cloud?"

But she is a woman who understands

That God can put the heart of a king

Inside of a flesh and blood man

And she loves this flesh and blood man.

When he looks inside her eyes they tell a story

Like a book that he once read of wistful poems

She let him read between the lines to find the answer

To a question he stopped asking so long ago

To him she is like a masterpiece on canvas

So exquisite in his sight she takes his breath

He recalls the words she wrote in full disclosure

Now he sees her captured in a light he can't forget

Now, there is a part of me amazed in childlike wonder

As we stand here face to face inside this room

That you can see all of my colors this late in season

That you can see all of my colors long last in bloom

Like a well kept secret, I too resigned myself to silence

Never knowing I would find you here this soon

Your hand reached out to touch me in the darkness

You came and found me on the far side of the moon

I was dreaming.....out on the far side of the moon.

" The Lover of My Soul"

If there were not

Another one

Alive here on this earth

I would bear the pain and do it all again

Because of your value and worth

So precious is your heart to me

So much more than rubies or gold

And just like a rose in His pristine light

In the husbandman's garden

I have watched you unfold.

Now face to face this deep calls unto deep

And what lies before us are adventures untold

I had to go away my love to prepare a place for you

In my father's kingdom we'll see glories unfold.

So now arise! My Love! My Fair One! Please won't you come along?

My darling now your winter has ended and the rain is over and gone.

Please say you'll come away with me my love

But first..there is something I want you to know

As I hung on the cross, back on Calvary my darling

It is you

That I was longing to hold.

"Simone"

How could you possibly ever have known

You would wait all of your life just to spend it alone

You've been resigned to this silence

Thinking it could only be fate

But there is a surprise and it is right at your gate

Sweet Simone.

Really, life is worth living for a woman so kind

And I know it gets so intense when you put it all on the line

He may not come when you want him but He is always right on time

And in the midst of the chaos He's cut a beautiful design

And He's given you a promise

Sweet Simone.

You are His passion in this story....

You are the fragrance in the rose....

Just open up the door Simone....and watch your pleasure unfold....

I can hear your laughter in the freefall....

Sweet Simone....

Yes He always keeps His promises...

Sweet Simone.

Quote by Stanton Davis Kirkham

"You may be keeping accounts, and presently you shall walk out of the door that for so long has seemed to you the barrier of your ideals, and shall find yourself before an audience...the pen still behind your ear, the ink stains on your fingers and then and there shall pour out of you the torrent of your inspiration. You may be driving sheep, and you may wander to the city...bucolic and open mouthed, shall wander under the intrepid guidance of the spirit into the studio of the master, and after a time he shall say" I have nothing more to teach you" And now you have become the master....who did so recently dream of great things while driving sheep. You shall lay down the saw and the plane to take upon yourself the regeneration of the world."

April

In April I once felt again that maybe Iwould live

To see the day, and remember how it used to feel to give

My heart and soul entwined in yours

Between the notes like sheets

Of paper pressed from a tender hand

Making love with pen and ink

Your impassioned words made my heart melt

Like iron in the heat

In April I once felt such bliss

That made my life complete.

When May arrived I found myself alone out on a beach

And you were there in every thought

That I would write or speak

Your silent smile your loving gaze

Dancing in the kitchen cheek to cheek

But of all these things the letters sent

So dear to me I keep

Of paper pressed from his tender hand

Making love with pen and ink

For in April I once felt such bliss

That made my life complete.
