Angela Rose

Whatever happened to Angela Rose?

The girl who loved "Stardust"

I guess the story goes

She fell in love with a man who played her beautiful songs

As she lay on her chaise in a pink satin gown

They would sit and talk on into the night

Then picnic in bed by the soft candlelight.

With the windows wide open in the arms of his muse

The sound of music and their laughter, echoed softly underneath a full April moon.

It was a renaissance love, with her renaissance man

Off the coast of Nantucket, they sailed and they swam

She tended her garden where the hollyhocks grew

Silent smiles by the fire sometimes they would sleep until noon.

With two Septembers past now, and falling leaves from the sycamore

She hummed "Moonlight in Vermont" in the kitchen

While baby Lily played on the floor.

With loving friends and close relations, around the table

He would say the prayer

Then after dinner, one of the children asked, "Dad...please tell us again, about the trip to France when you met that wild accordian player named Pierre!"

Amidst the laughter he would watch her clean the plates, and rearrange the chairs

And when their eyes met, she began to speak the words of the poem he wrote for her in Paris

While she smiled at him

And walked on up the stairs.

Tell me....what ever happened to Angela Rose?

The girl who loved "Stardust'

I guess the story goes

David saw her at a cafe in Paris just about a year ago

He said " She still has the face of an angel though her hair was white as snow."

They reminisced about Nantucket, the beach, and the bungalow

She said "He brought me heaven here on earth, and had I not loved him David

It was love itself I would have never known"

"And you know" he said , as he walked away

"She still wears that wonderful cologne."

Tell me......what ever happened to Angela Rose?
