"Simply Because She Is"

She is not primarily functional

Though she capably serves the purpose for her design

She is primarily beautiful.

Not because of mere vain glorious, useful flesh

Or by the weak vacillating standards that the society casts its gluttonous eyes upon

Deeming her the"perfected pulchritude" of the hour

No, she is primarily beautiful, simply because of heaven's light that fills her eyes

And her breathless sigh at the sound of her newborn baby's cry

And a smile that rivals the morning sun

She is primarily beautiful simply because

She is.

Which is to say that her beauty is a great and glorious good

And something that he needs in large doses daily

And God has seen fit to arrange this for him

Yes her beauty personifies to him the very glory of God's creation

A taste of heaven here on earth.

She has become essential in his life

When she moves his eyes follow

And peace floods his soul

And somehow he knows that he has rounded a bend

And all manner of things will be well

With one glance and her smile she can free his heart and bring him hope

Yes he being like the winter earth longing for the sun

And not by any mere usefulness of her you see

But simply because she breathes

Simply because she is

Simply because of love.
